Mara Recklies is a philosopher with a particular interest in the political dimensions of design. When we learned that she had published an article called “Designkritik nach Auschwitz” (“Design Criticism After Auschwitz”), we knew we wanted to speak with her about it.

Llisa Demetrios grew up surrounded by the work of her grandparents, Ray and Charles Eames. Today, as Co-Founder and Chief Curator of the Eames Institute, she is carrying their legacy forward. We spoke with her about growing up Eames, the importance of curiosity, and why preserving the past is also about inspiring the future.
